Foolproof & Refreshing: Phoenix Dancong Cold Brew

 

Find brewing tea tricky or sometimes bitter? Cold brew is your perfect solution. This method uses time instead of heat to extract only the sweetness and aroma from the leaves, resulting in an incredibly smooth and sweet drink with almost no bitterness.

Brewing Steps:

  1. Prepare: Add 8-10 grams of Phoenix Dancong tea leaves into a 1-liter glass jar or pitcher.

  2. Add Water: Pour cold, filtered water into the jar and seal the lid.

  3. Wait: Place the jar in your refrigerator and let it steep for 6-8 hours (or overnight).

  4. Strain: Strain the tea leaves out. Your cold brew tea is ready! It can be stored in the fridge for 2-3 days.

Flavor Profile: The liquor is clear and smooth. The natural sweetness of the tea is fully released, creating an elegant and lingering fragrance.

**Tea Recommendation: Mi Lan Xiang (Honey Orchid) and Gui Hua Xiang (Osmanthus) Dancong are excellent for cold brewing, as their honeyed and floral notes are perfectly highlighted.
